Iyengar Yoga
The Iyengar (pronounced Eye-yin-gar) approach to Hatha Yoga combines the classical soft yoga with strength, stamina, and flexibility, and correct body alignment. Standing poses, unique to the Iyengar method build strong legs to stabilize and align the pelvis and spine.

No. It's a philosophy that has endured 5,000 years. The word means union or joining. With increased awareness, the poses become meditation inaction with awareness of the breath flowing through the body. Physical tension and imbalances are brought to attention and begin to release.

Many students find health improves as a result of improved alignment, flexibility or strength.
